Wedding invitations are an important part of the wedding. This is the first thing that people will see and notice about the event. It announces to the world, about your union and it informs them of what type of Jamaican wedding ceremony you will have; whether traditional, formal, contemporary or really casual. People go out of their way at times to get really elaborate and expensive invites, when they can be done just as nicely by hand or with cheaper alternatives. Open your mind when it comes to choosing wedding invites or the format in which they are sent.
Remember one of the important aspects of your Jamaican wedding is to stick to the budget, and wedding invitations can be quite pricey. If you are getting married in a luxurious tropical setting, you do not have to break the bank on wedding invitations. Your cards can still be unique and beautiful, but in your price bracket. To avoid these ridiculous expenses, do not leave the sending out of invitations until the last minute. Make your selections early, to avoid mark ups from unscrupulous business people who try to take advantage of you. Another advantage of having them early is that you can shop around. This will allow you to compare prices, bargains, designs, and other details. Sales persons will then be working to attract your money by giving sale or discount prices. Remember to shop online as well, as there are thousands of resources to choose from.
When you start early, you will be able to give timely consideration to your Jamaican wedding theme. Your choice of wedding invitation should inform your guests as to what the wedding theme will be. This will let them know how to prepare or dress. You will also have the time and opportunity to show the options to your fiancé and discuss which ones you prefer. This discussion could lead to a change in what wedding invitations and themes you actually want. You will then be able to negotiate with the suppliers.
There are a few things you need to consider when selecting Jamaican wedding invites. First the wording on the front of the card; this needs to be catchy and meaningful. Even though you have selected a design that appeals to you and will impress your guests, you need to have good words or sentiments in your card. You can choose to add your own words, use poetry and other romantic bits, apart from the details about the wedding. If you have a friend who is a writer, you can ask them to assist you in wording your invites and jazzing it up. People are retrofitting these invitations with unique things, like music. This will be quite fun, and should immediately bring a smile ti the face of the receiver.
